iv been trying to adjust my rear mech so the gears change up/down cleanly,iv read and watch videos on youtube on how to do it and they make it look so easy!

anyway i can get the gears to go from the highest gear to the lowest but not to come back down very well, its really getting on my nerves and i dnt now what to try next.

any help would be grateful

chris

    sound like a dirty cable.

clean and lube or replace the inner and outer.

the shifter does pull the cable up the block and the spring tension pulls it back down and this is the problem part?
