I currently user a 550 lumen light on mines as some of my route is not street light.

Im currently looking at a 1750 lumen light for sub £300... *drools*.

I occasionally use it off road to, infact that is why I initially bought it.

yep, I bought one of those and it is the best biking bargain EVER!

Sorry to repeat a rant from a few days ago, but pointlessly powerful lumen lights than blind other cyclists! WTF! They were made for off roading and should not be used for commuting :evil:

Im not going to justify it for everyone to have hugely overpowered lights, just for me.

I bought mine for XC enduro events and night riding of road initially, but they help my commute.

I use 90% A roads outside towns/cities for my commute.
There are a wide range of potholes and surprsingly badgers and foxes, no street lighting for longish stretches and hardly any cyclists.

I use it for visability and so I can see the road infront of me. I dont condone using overpowered lights in cities etc, and generally I don't.

I've bought my cateye as I have a 4.5 mile stretch down an unlit bridleway to negotiate - i have a lower power single led for use on lit streets if the cat eye proves too dazzling

Anything dhb on wiggle. It's all been good so far.
Other stuf in the sale at EBC seems good. I got a workstand down from £70 to £50.
Superstarcomponents. Currently running some of their disc pads and a headset. The 12W HID lights look good too.
www.cycle-clothing.co.uk nothing bought but the price looks good. I'm waiting till I actually need something to try it out.

I'll second the DHB stuff, very good qual, got some bib 3/4s (knickers just sounds silly) very comfortable, excellent chamoisesq pad.
Been used almost everyday (I do wash them ! ) since Feb.

I bought one last winter, just had a dhb compton base layer underneath, never really got cold, quite the opposite, apart from when the shoulder seams leaked a little in the snow (the seams aren't sealed). All in I'd recommend it, Chain reaction are cheaper though with free delivery.

On a cold morning I wear two football tops instead of one as I dont have any base layers yet.

What impresses me most is just how good the waterproofness is (is that a word LOL)

Normally I'd recommend totalcycling.com but the order I placed over a week ago has not yet arrived no response to my emails and now the website appears to be down, this does not look good :shock:
