Many congratulations! When I passed I got a minor fault for driving too slow - not a common problem amongst teenage boys. Soon got the hang of it though... Have you got yer own motor? I remember when me and my mates all started passing; off to gigs in far flung places (like Bradford and Sheffield... ).

    Happy driving!
  • Cheers, not got a motor yet but my dad is keen for me to save my pennies and get one so he doesn't have to get up at 6 on a saturday morning to drive me to races

  • Nah I got bored with my hair so its not that.Someone told me I looked kind of strange when I was nekkid ,so no change there then

It almost looks kind of normal now, sort of

It was the short skirt and stockings that got the pass
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Duh!! I told you not to mention the short skirt and stockings in public *sigh*

  • Hope you have more luck in the car than you do on your bike

We'll soon be seeing these thread titles:

'Tw@t hit my car with his chav MTB'
'Kn&bhead jumped on my bonnet whilst I was in traffic'
I kicked f@ck out of a cyclist who flicked the V's at my perferct driving!'

    And so on.........just joshing

  • Congratulations Boybiker. Hopefully this will not lead to a £300 car, with a £2000 stereo system! Reinforced parcel shelf and god knows what else is the trend nowadays.

Not wishing to depress you too much, but for a matter of interest. Could you get an insurance quote, for what you think will most likely be your first car? Fiat Seicenta...or maybe bigger!? Be a bit of a shock for the rest of us, nevermind you mate!!!

Tbh, I cannot figure out how the insurance companies work out their premiums. I drive a P reg Mondeo turbodiesel, which is covered for on street parking (in a decent postcode), no points and full no claims bonus - and seem to pay as much as someone with a brand new car/less no claims. Would have thought the age of the car would not be a factor, as long as it is covered by a current MOT etc etc.

By the way, entering motorways/dual carriageways...do 80 and slow to the speed of the traffic (!?!?) these muppets who join the carriageway doing 40, with 40 tonnes of Eddie Stobart up their backside doing is full tonk. So dangerous.

Are you going to have any additional lessons, for how to drive on motorways? Amazing that it is not in the test...thankfully, I passed before parallel parking was added!
  • Ahh well I was out in my dads car last night giving plenty of room to all the cyclists like a good boy.
I havent even thought about what car I might get yet let alone what the insurance might cost although my uncle has a fiat thingy which is older than me which might be suitable.
I can do parking quite well, not quite got the hang of double parking or parking on double yellow lines but I am sure it will come to me
I might get some extra lessons for motorway driving as that seems to be drivers do the most stupid things.

Well done boybiker, was it first time passed?

Mind you, once passed and a car owner what little disposable income you had will now disappear forever(insurance, tax, mot, petrol, tyres, servicing, furry dice). Still, you will be very popular with your carless mates who need a lift to the pub.
