Why do some posters...

Bikeradar merged from previous sites/forums, Cycling Plus (cp) was one of them, so the letters cp were added to usernames when the accounts were transfer over to Bikeradar.

There's the MTB ones aswell like wmb (What Mountain Bike).........can't remember the rest.

Ah, I see - I've also seen the wmb on one person's username.

Now it all makes sense!!

There should be one for Pro Cycling too, but I've never seen one... Either all the Pro Cycling users had unique names, or they had accounts on the other forums that were used instead. The other forum to merge was MBUK, but as that forum was by far the largest, its members were given priority when it came to assigning the names.

NB the suffixes only happened where the names where not unique. i.e. I came from CP, but no one else had RichA, hence no cp suffix.
