I met a bloke once who walked unsupported to the South Pole, dragging a sled.

When things got tough, he thought of the women he had known, but rather than the obvious fantasies, all he could think of was the meals they had shared together.

So, Jibi, here's the menu, take your pick:

    Apple Pie and Custard
    Gooseberry Crumble and Ice Cream
Bread and Butter Pudding with Custard and Ice Cream

    Date and Walnut Slice
Victoria Sponge dusted with icing sugar
    Bakewell Tart

By the way, just for the sake of clarity, I am not chatting you up!!

  • Daughter no1 and I have just baked a cake - banana with cocoa and chocolate chips. Just waiting for it to cool slightly before diving in......

    There you go Jibi:

... mashed pots and gravey. There's a chicken-fried venision steak in there somewhere as well. Strangely the site that I've nicked the image from doesn't mention how they managed to train a chicken to fry a steak.

In case you want to fantasize about women and cake at the same time, I give you... dum dum dum..... the Barbie cake:

I dunno, there're some disturbed minds out there.

Don't be licking the monitor, now, people will talk... (It's just one of these things that I know)

  • Ohhhh - we're getting into a wierd area here but if we must:
VICTORIA SANDWICH: BUTTER CREAM, RASPBERRY JAM AND A FRESH DUSTING OF ICING SUGAR.
All to myself, with a big cup of Italian Mocha coffee (this is NOT an invitation to bring in the coffee thread.... :D ).
Then a week of hard work in the saddle trying to get the extra weight off... :(

That gravy ain't right... Gravy should be thick and dark brown, preferably with a skin.
