Hi Guys,
Just completed the Transrockies 2008 - it was the best, worst and hardest thing I have ever done. People who had done this before said it was the hardest one up to yet ,and was harder than the Transalp and the Cape Epic due to the amount of technical downhill and extended hike-a-bike
The stats for me and my team mate (original start list) are -
550km ridden in 7 days
17,600 metres climbed (twice Everest !!)
60/105 in age group
130/300 overall
38000 calories (riding)
One chain
Three inner tubes
Four sets of pads
Two fork seals
Three bottles of lube
Pics & vids here - apologies for odd angles on video - http://www.flickr.com/photos/transrockies2008/
Race report and more photos here - http://www.transrockies.com/trc/index.htm
If anyone is considering doing this in 2009 then go for it - it was so well organised and the food was fantastic, the people involved, and those who competed, were some of the nicest and helpful I have ever met.
If you want to know anything more then give me a shout.
Cheers
Martin

I have signed up for this next year. On the transrockies forum, they suggest an insane amount of gear to take.
Did you take a back pack when cycling or just use bottles etc?
