Wiggins interview on his move

Now, question of the day time for Bradley.
You said
“I hope to do well in the Tour for myself next year. The peloton is getting slower and slower and I reckon I will have some chances.”
If that's true then could you please explain why this year Tour de France was the 5'th fastest in history?
Answers on a postcard....

Well, he's there and can feel what's going on.
I just hope he can start winning. Once you strip out his wooden bowl circus rides against unknowns like Hayden Roulston or Alexei Markov, his palmares is quite light. If he doesn't want to be the lead out for Cavendish, I can understand it but he could probably earn more money by delivering by doing this job properly, by becoming the best lead out man in the world for the best sprinter, than coming 4th in the Tour prologue and winning the TT stage of the 4 days of Dunkirk and the Tour du Poitou-Charentes et de la Vienne. Not a criticism, just a hope that he can get some more recognisable success.0 -
Rather, I think he was hinting that the sport is getting cleaner and if his metaphor isn't perfect when you analyse it, maybe the idea on reduced levels of doping is. Just an idea...0

Perhaps - But considering how little he's raced on the roads this year I don't think he's fit to judge really.
Onto the actual subject, interesting he's signed for 2 years - He's obviously not expecting the British team to emerge in 2010.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

"He is close to securing the consultancy services of a well-known and extremely experienced former team manager to advise and guide the setting up of the squad"
Tony Capper, or perhaps Julian Clark?'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0 -

I was wondering how he'd do this, as it's one thing to ride in the controlled environment of a wooden cycling track but road cycling is far more random and tactical.
I wonder who it is? Let's just hope it's not Bruno Roussel, Walter Goodefroot or Manolo Saiz.0 -

No way, we'd be going from 100% ME to total liars.
I hope de Rooij gets some geography lessons. He can't tell Mexico from Italy...0 -

The numbers don't lie. How can it be getting slower when it's still inhumanly fast?
Wild stab in the dark but how about the distance is shorter than it was so average speed is higher. Plus it was a relatively flat one this year wasn't it?0 -
