Just borrowed an elite fluid travel trainer from a mate to see how I get on with it. Set it up with my mtb and the knobbly tyres make it a very noisey bumpy ride. Is it ok to use with knobbly tyres as i dont want to put a slick on each time i use it?

It'll be OK, but very noisy and will wear the nobbles off your tyre....

How about a rim drive Minura trainer (not fluid though). Then you don't change wheels or tyres. I know if I had to change things to use the trainer I wouldn't bother... too lazy and it becomes a good excuse not to bother getting on the trainer
