Hey everybody!

Does anyone know much about the Trek fx range? Especially the fx 7.5? Had a look at one in a shop today and it looked pretty decent, but saying that, i know nothing!

Are Trek generally a good buy? And can anyone recommend a similar bike for £500-£550?

Many thanks

  • I've got the 7.3fx, got it last year for my commute to work and am very happy with it - no complaints at all.
  • I've just ordered one for a mate so it had beter be good.
It looks perfect for what he wants and was a good price so I went for it.
    Spring!

  • Had the 7.5fx for a year now, have a 35 mile round trip commute and like moorehen no complaints what so ever.
  • Ditto the above, had one for about 4 years now for commute and pottering about in winter months and its never let me down.

Trek's are very good bikes, very good frames and mainstream components. The main differences between them and other top brands (Giant, Specialized, etc) are some spec differences at given price points, and slightly differing geometries, so if you like the bike and it suits your needs and it fits, you have no worries.
