  • White bread or cornflakes?

they have a GI of 100 and are used as reference foods to test the GI of everything else :)

If I was on the verge of a diabetic come I'd rather grab a bottle of lucosade which has a GI of 95. Cornflakes come in high but nowhere near as high as lucosade.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

A lot of dried fruits have additives to preserve and are not so 'GOOD'. As in carcinogenic.

Hmmm, I am sure they woukd not be on sale if they did not past the pretty stringent tests we have. I'd be happy to see any evidence though.

I've given up on worrying about carcinogenic foods - pretty much everything seems to fall under this banner at some stage. Obviously chewing asbestos is not a great idea but other than that, I'm not bothered.

To stop eating dried fruit for that reason really would be silly.

I should think freshly dug organic veg is probably bad for you in some ways.

Mmmmmm!!! Soon to be extinct, I believe

I can't stomach bananas pre ride/race because they make me yak my ring when the intensity goes up. I use those Elevenses bars but you may find them too rich :)
