Cape wrath fork upgrade? Any advise

I've been riding my cape wrath mostly on the road for the last year, but now I'm getting out on the trails quite frequently and realizing that I really need to upgrade the forks and brakes. Any advise particularly for the fork upgrade would be greatly appreciated?
For example, willl it screw up the geometry if I put a 140mm travel fork on this frame?
I'm thinking of trying to get a cheap pair 2nd hand off ebay, around the £200 mark, any recommended forks that are likely to sell for that?
I'm an all-mountain/cross country type rider, but I wanna be able to open up a bit more on the downhill.
Cheers.

£230 gets you a Rockshox Reba, possibly the best xc/trail fork there is.

140mm forks would be overkill for the Cape Wrath & it would handle like a barge, could also possibly cause a frame failure & may not be covered under CB's lifetime warranty if it did go pear shaped.0 -
Mmm a 140mm fork on an XC bike. Not a good idea.
see fork above."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Maybe with a little bit more travel (115mm) like this Reba Team Air U-Turn & Pushloc 2008, but second hand.0
