Pumping road bike tire
Hi, i just got a new Topeak Joeblow Sports floor pump with gauge. My front tire inner tubing was just recently replaced and is a brand new tubing, while my rear tire is an old tubing.
I pumped my rear tire with the gauge reading 120psi, but it doesnt feel as firm as the front tire when i press on it with my fingers..
so is my pumping method wrong, because i dont really know how to pump road bike tire..

If both tyres have been inflated to 120 psi, they should feel the same. Maybe one tyre is more worn than the other which may make it feel different? The age of the inner tube shouldn't make a difference.
I once forgot to undo the little nut that locks the valve shut, before fitting the pump. One pump and the gauge read 130 psi, but that was the pressure in the tube from the pump cylinder to the valve, not the tyre. I undid the valve properly, gave it a little push and let some air out to make sure it was opening OK, and inflated the tyre properly.0 -
Thanks man..
Realised that. Fixed it
