My Giant SCR2 has a few stickers on the frame I would like to remove that were put on by the factory and LBS. What's the best way to remove stickers from an Alu frame? I'm thinking of using a hairdrier to soften the glue then after removing using white spirit to wipe off the residue. Any advice greatly appreciated.

  • Assuming they're stickers as opposed to being painted on, then that should work fine. heat the sticker with the hairdryer, then use something not too sharp to peel the edge of the sticker up. If you can do it with a finger nail, fine, if not, try a credit card or something.

Hairspray is apparently quite good at removing the residue.

WD40 works for me to get the sticky stuff off.
I'm left handed, if that matters.
