What the hell is it with p*untures???
I ensure that my inner tubes are inserted properly. I make sure my puncture proof tyres are properly inflated before each ride and that no glass is embedded in the tyres. I take care when riding not to ride over glass,hit potholes,kerbs etc. I even stop to wipe off the small flints that got embedded in my tyre after going over some new anti-skid road works.
So what happens this morning when I get up?? My front tyre has been visited by the p*unture fairy. The cause was a small split at the base of the valve :roll:

I wish I hadn't opened this thread. I take all the precautions that you do and have had a 'P' free summer. I'm now paranoid that I'm going to be greeted by a flat when I get to my bike tomorrow

We were visited several times by Herself yesterday on our club run because it was a bit wet and she likes the rain.there is nothing to beat hanging around getting colder by the minute waiting for someone to put a new tube in. The gear changing, helmet wearing fule.
