1. Probably four (starting at 2 years)
2. No
3. No, but people move their kids on to bikes too big too quickly
4. Yes
5. Sometimes want to check whether saddle height is OK
6. Yes0 -
1. Three
2. No (Over-emphasis on mountain look = unnecessary weight at the cheap end IMO)
3. No
4. Yes
5. No, but I believe my youngest at age 9 was getting too big for her 20" wheel bike. (Now almost 10 she now has just got a 24" wheel and I think it will be ok until she's 12/13 ish.)
6. Yes, but could be more diligent!__________________

1. Three, but they get passed from one kid to the next, then onto my brothers kid so we get our money out of them (anyone tell I'm a Yorkshireman!)
2. Nowhere near enough choice, unless it is cheap and nasty sh*te I wouldn't touch with a barge pole
3. Not really, as above though - folk (mostly) don't know how to measure kids bikes up, and unfortunately unless you go to a bike shop neither do the numpties selling them!
4. Roughly, but I don't go by them, would rather take the girls in and see what fits them myself.
5. Sometimes complain about brakes not working or saddle needs adjusting but they usually make do.
6. Yep, wouldn't let anyone else do it, but then again I'm biased as I know my wat around a bike, so to speak! If it's not a Yeti, it's not worth riding!0 -

1. How many bicycles does your child get through roughly from the age of 5 to 10 yrs old?
If they get into racing, let's see: mtb, crosser, road (can be crosser with slicks), track and maybe each lasts 2 years, my (increasingly poverty-stricken) friend.
2. Is there too many choice or range for children’s bikes?
There can never be too many choices, altho' Islabikes are the best bet (wonderful re-sale value)
3. Do children grow out of their bikes too quickly?
Never! If they have outgrown their bike(s), it means they are getting strongerer and fasterer and becoming wonderfully fit and skilful and...
4. Do your recommended age range bikes actually fit your child?
See size range page on www.islabikes.co.uk. Fit is wonderful
5. Have you ever had experience when your child has complained or know that there bike is uncomfortable, or do they just go out and ride, play with no regards how there bike is set up?
Not had kids, just coached them for 13 years. They will ride bikes which are too big, too small, saddles too low/high, bikes too heavy, brakes working/not working, dented/wobbly wheels, etc. They are on a bike! Bikes are fun! Can I have a new bike for Christmas/birthday/passing Key Stage 1, 2, 3, etc., please, please, please, daddy?
6. Do you the adult know and how to check your child’s bike set up?
Yes/No/Maybe
Ps I have nowt' t'do wi' Islabikes, except seeing increasing number of my kids riding them. Did I mention that they are wonderful/fantastic/superb/brilliant?

1. 3/4
2. Not if you want a good bike - and to get them cycling they need a good bike!
3. Just part of growing up, and pass it on or sell it.
4. Yes as long as you do your research.
5. Apart from saddle adjustments, no.
6. Yes.
Like the previous poster I'm not associated with islabikes, but for the money they are fantastic!0
