Hi there
My partner has recent wiped the dust and cobwebs off the Cannondale F2000 SX (year 2000 model with Headshock Lefty) that has lurked in the garage for a good few years now and is looking to get back into biking. The bike still has the CODA expert disc brakes which I'm told are pants. I'm looking to buy new disc brakes for the bike as a birthday present. I see that Cannondale now fit Avid Juicy disc brakes on some of their current models and that these disc brakes appear to get good reviews - but the question is, will they fit the old model Cannondale my partner has?

It depends on the disc mounts on the fork and frame - I am unsure what Cannondale had that year.(and wheter or not it was a proprietry system). Adaptors may be available. I'll have a look into it, but sure someone else will know!0

Alsp the disc rotor bolt pattern! Is it 4 bolts? Standard is 6 now.
As far as I can see, the calipers are the IS standard on the frame and fork which is good news.0 -
Thanks for checking this out for me Supersonic. The disc rotor bolt pattern is indeed 4 bolts.0

That is going to be a problem! It is an obsolete standard now, with no sets coming with 4 bolt rotors as standard.
My advice would be to contact Hope. They can cut rotors to your spec, and offer a range of disc brakes, so should be able to get you a set that will fit and work well.0 -
Thanks Supersonic. No doubt when my other half hears of this it will be used as leverage for a new bike!0
