anyone up for some night ride meets in the South West ? I don't know of any night time Audax or sportives but night riding is fantastic. If you have never tried it you should have a go.
I'm not sure if its feasable but even a meet of 4-5 riders would be worth while. Most members can probably drag a friend/partner or neighbour along.

I could put up at least 4x riders overnight for those traveling any distance.

probably best to start with Counties if you are up for a night ride meet then stick your County down or better still nearest City and after a week or so we should be able to start arranging something in our area.
I'll start with
South Somerset (Taunton/Yeovil/Chard area)
2x riders possibly 2x partners also

Our group rides right through the winter twice weekly, obviously at night once the shorter days come in. We've been doing it for about 20 years now. Our Thursday off-road ride also continues right through the winter. Everyone welcome, though I can't stretch to accommodation. Dartmoor can be spectacular at night like a moonscape.

MTB Cross Country Ride - Tuesdays
Meet at 18:30hrs B&Q, Marsh Mills, pace is pretty hard and technical, ride time 2 hrs minimum. You will need at least 'get you home' lights from now on.

    Easy Road Ride - Tuesdays
Meet at B&Q Marsh Mills at 18:30hrs. 20 miles of easy pace, good for newcomers or those wanting a recovery ride. Not a led ride this week so just turn up and mutually agree pace and route!

    MTB Adventure Ride - Thursdays
Usually meet at Yelverton Co-op Car park at the time of 19:00hrs. A more relaxed off-road moorland ride suitable for all abilities. There is an optional post ride social drink so bring a change of clothes!

    Road Ride - Thursdays
Meet at B&Q, Marsh Mills 18:30 for 25 - 30 mile ride, pace continues to be 'up tempo' with the usual ad hoc fun sprints thrown in for good measure .

MTB Fun Ride - Saturday 6th September
Meet at the Dartmoor Diner, Roborough Down we will then drive to the ride start point. As usual pace will suit all comers so family and friends will be very welcome.
If you are new to this ride please let us know you are riding by replying to our contact e-mail on the YOGi website.

For ALL rides you will now require (at the very least) 'get you home' lights.
