Alex DA22 rims. Wear indicators?
Hi, I think I read somewhere that some makes of wheel have a groove on the outer edge where the brakes touch to show if the rim is wearing down. (could be wrong)
Does anybody know if this applies the the AlexDA22 rims on my Giant?
There seems to be a recess in that area but I`m not sure if that is what it`s for.
Ta.

Yup, they are the black lines on the braking surface. When they disappear, it's time to change. You should watch your brake blocks too, because they will wear to match the hole in the rim.0

Acorn, thanks for your reply. Now I can keep a watch on them, but I have no idea what the expected sort of life should be for wheels.
