first off sorry if this is in the wrong forum!
Has anyone ridden it? im off to south america travelling for three months on monday and will be going through bolivia while im over there. apparently its home to the most dangerous road in the world, and you can hire bikes and ride it?! I'm pretty knew to this mtb lark, and better at falling off than anything else! was just wondering if anyone has ridden it to give me an idea of how gnarly it is and what nick the hire bikes are in? i don't want to leave my girlfriend to have to ship home my mangled corpse!

Mate of mine has done it - said it was ace but fairly hairy in places. Can't have been too bad though cos his gf did it too and she is not really a biker.0

going down it deffo most fun, u do it often then?
never quite done it 100% flat out thought tbh, but want to.....
a few in the peaks r dangerous, i love living there lol, the route round southheads pretty gnarly, a path 1 foot wide, loose gravel and mud, then straight down a hillside....
