Focus Black Hills? Help Please!

Hi,
My 2000 GT Arrowhead has just died and I need a new bike quick - I commute to work apprx 5 miles each way (old railway line which often floods / road 50:50) everyday, all year whatever the weather. I need something reliable that can handle the rough railway line, but also occasional trips in Dalby forest + pulling a trailer bike some weekends. The Focus Black Hills from Wiggle appeals and is about my upper limit at £400 ish. There aren't many bike shops nearby so online is my best bet.
Any advice appreciated!
