Full Suspension XC for £1500! Help?

i have decided to make the jump from hartail to a full susser. I have a limited budget of £1500 but could stretch it to £1600. I ride XC and live in a hilly area so it will need to be a good climber. Any advice will be greatfull.

P.S. Im 6 foot 2

now is a good time ot buy; get a higher spec 08 bike in the sales.

what suspension system are you looking at?

what bikes have you tried?

6 foot 2 is no help, body proportion is more relevant.

So get your arse on a few and then ask what we think of them.

I have'nt been on any bikes yet and its a bit difficult because the local bike shop got closed down and all i have is halfords.

Im new to full suspension bikes so i have know idea about the different systems but i assume something simple.

My body proportions are long legs and arms.

I have been looking at a felt compulsion 2

I (well my mate) has just the bike for you.

Giant Anthem Advance 1 not been riden that much, he wants the new 2009 model, so this one is off. tis a large frame too so will fit you fine.
