A friend of mine works for Progressive Bikes, who are the importers of Brodie bikes to the UK. I have just had word of the new alfine powered bike the Ocho. Looks like an ideal winter commuter bike and so stealthy! The 08 bike sold out in 4 weeks due to the Alfine being so popular!

What you all think?

  • I don't know a lot about bikes so may be way off the mark but it looks very similar to my ridgeback nemesis, which is a very good bike in my opinion :-)

Why is stealthy a plus? Isn't an easily-seen bike a better idea for commuting?
  • Stealthy has to be a plus when it's parked up - less attention from thieves?
Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.
