Woohoo, lightest so far (me, not the bike). That'll prob last about 5 mins

I'm about 10 1/2 stone

My XTC comp was somewhere around 25lbs but some of those bits are now on my Trance which is a little over 29 lbs. I'm building up the XTC comp as a commuter but it won't be back down to 25 lbs until i can afford some proper components rather than making do with what I could scrape together for next to nothing

a Tank with SMT's TBH the weight is a bit of a guess as the scales finish at 25kg. but 8kg frame... 7 kg forks....

i weight in at just over the 100kg mark! (hovering aroudn the 15st mark! :shock: )

and bike weighs just under 25lb,

there was a bike on poshbikes (mtb) that was rideable and weighed in at 9.5lb! was built for show to allow people to see what can be done!

Not sure acurately, but the Five is probably 27lbs ish and the DMR I reckon would be about the same. It doesn't feel much different to pick up. No scales though, so not really sure.

I reckon it's not the most important thing though - before the DMR Switchback I had a Dave Yates Diabolo which was about 22lbs (rigid forks). At the time the Switchback was a bit heavier again, but 1st ride after building it (on the road) I couldn't believe that it accelerated a huge amount faster than the Yates. I can only put it down to more stiffness in the right places, or maybe geometry. But it was probably 6lbs heavier.

Me? About 13st.
