Doubt it. If he had any sense, the bikes he nicked would have been of decent quality and in full working order. The Cambridge station bike park is where rubbish clunkers go to die.
Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of a bike ride.

  • Yeah, when I lived in Cambridge, I used to go to great lengths to avoid locking up my bike in the station bike park... for fear it would get some kind of degenerative condition from the rustbuckets there.

Also, more honestly, for fear I wouldn't be able to remember where I put it... and it would forever be lost in the mire...

This afternoon I went down to the bike shed after work to get me bike with two of the chefs I know. Whilst there we encountered a young girl who said her bike had "gone". I think we all knew instantly that it had been nicked. Sad as she said she's just bought it, brand new Claude Butler.

I asked her what she locked it up with and she dillied around the question... I went away thinking perhaps she forgot to lock it. :? I have seen little chav kids ride around there looking at the bikes - when you walk towards them they change direction and ride off. Its not surveilled, no cctv and I'd reckon it would be quite easy to get away with a bike there.

We said to look around incase she parked it elsewhere and just forgot, but I doubt you'd forget where your bike is... you'd arrive there and go "oh wait, it was over there" LOL! Also told her to go to security and report it.

    Thieves are scumbags.
  • They don't have your Gollum bike do they L_I_T? Might be worth checking... :)
