Octalink 105 BB on an LX Octalink Crankset - possible?

Im building myself a commuter and was looking for an xt or lx bottom bracket (octalink) but came across a 105, which I notice has narrower splines than the mtb bottom brackets, will it still work?

    no that is the V1 spline pattern you need the V2 version
