Creaking Whyte E-120

Recently landed a Whyte E-120. Two rides in have developed a loud creakinging. I've checked all the fixings are tight, removed the seat post and it still creaks when I rock it back and forth against the brakes.
If I stand next to the bike and press down on one of the peddles I get the creaking too. It seems to emanate from either end of the swinging arm.
Being new to carbon frames I'm unsure if this is a normal response from carbon but it sounds pretty alarming to me.
Any suggestions on this would be most appreciated.

read the info on park tools. linky in the FAQs. and just go though everything."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Most creaking on Whytes is because the Big Gripper rear dropouts have been fitted without grease. Remove the rear wheel from the dropouts, grease the bobbins and slot the wheel back in. Should be silent.0

just had the same problem with my bike mate. was driving me mad.
turned out to be the spokes on the rear wheel............one was snapped at the nipple, so was not flopping around, and i had a bent one as well as a few loose ones.
i cut the snapped one out, and the creaking almost stopped. obviously the bent/loose ones are still causing some creaking, so im getting it sorted.roberts dogs bolx
