Planning XC rides

I usually use an OS map to find local trails e.g. bridleways, BOATs etc.
The other day I was going down what was marked on the O.S. map as OTHER ROAD DRIVE OR TRACK. It also had the short pink lines over the track showing it is a FOOTPATH (not bridleway).
Just got me thinking that although it is marked as a TRACK it is also classified as a FOOTPATH so am I ok (legally) to ride along it?
I have already ridden along it once and it is a landrover-type track through a wood.
Cheers

unless there are signs that actively suggest your not allowed to use it then i see no reason why not!
if you come up against any horse's, walkers etc then just be polite etc. and chances are you wont have any hassle!Timmo.
