Whyte 46 - rear mech hanger?

Hi there,
I've got hold of a brand new virgin Whyte 46 Frame (2007) but I bought it secondhand and found that it hasn't come with all the usual bits and bobs supplied with new frames.
There was absolutely no information or handbook so I've been taking forward my build rather in the dark! I've found a Service and Instruction Manual on the Whyte website but this is not much use if you've just got a naked frame.
Sorry to burble on. The frame has come without any Rear Mech Hanger fitted.
1. Do I need actually need one? (I'm assuming the answer is yes but I haven't bought a rear derailleur yet so I'm not quite sure what comes in the box with these items).
2. If so, what type or specification of item do I need please? (I'm planning to fit a XT M770 rear mech).
Thanks in advance for any advice - perhaps from someone whose actually got a W46?

contact your local Whyte dealer for a hanger. mech makes NO effect on the hanger.
Unless you go saint or Hone and use Saint or Hone compatible hubs with a solid 10mm axle the screws into the mech."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

www.betd.co.uk is a useful place for searching out hangers! allows you to find out what other frames you share the hanger with!Timmo.

Thanks Nicklouse and Allthegearnoidea,
I'll contact my local Whyte dealer when they open tomorrow.
Have tried searching the Betd.co.uk website. They seem to have an amazing offering of hundreds of hangers but they don't seem to list any Whyte frames at all.
