Does anybody have any idea what would be the best oil/grease to use on the chain of my MTB, reason im asking is because ive always used an oil in spray form but have at times noticed that when the weather has turned wet (as it has recently) the oil seems to either flush away or clogs up with all the mud? Ive heard about a DRY grease OR IS THAT SOMEONE HAVING A LAUGH? aNY HELP IS APPRECEIATED.
secondly, i live about five miles away from Haldon hill, and have done all the routes up there and more, so im after some more routes, either up that way or Dartmoor etc. Maybe someone knows a web site that i can get some maps downloaded from.
Im more into the usual XC stuff with some moderate technical thrown in, i ride a HT so nothing with crazy massive drops in please, ill leave that to the experts.
So cheers for any help you may give.
Im also in the market for a cheap rear sus if anyone knows of one.

finish line dry for dry conditions and finish line wet for wet conditions."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

white lightning makes a good wet grease and i like purple extreme, dont know about it being dry but its certainly dryer than white lightning"don't worry, I'm half Scottish"0

I tend to use White Lightning (original) in the dry and finish line wet in the wet (usually on top of a light coating of the white lightning). Finish line dry works well to apart from when it's really muddy.0
