ond just to be sure. the disc is catching on the fork not the brake adaptor?

and the brakes are Avid and the disc is a hope with an ally center? and it is this part that is causing issues?

    Pics?

yes it is the 6 bolts thats join the braking surface to the couloured part that seem to catch on the fork. if you were to file down the part that is catching on the fork it would stop it but i am not to keen on filling down the forks.simmlarly if you were to somehow move the disc right then that would also stop it

i would then say that they are not suitable for your forks.

Are you sure it's a mini/m4 disc and not a m6/moto disc? The m6/moto discs are considerably thicker.
