I have a problem in that i cannot fit new break pads into my formula oro units there is just not enough room. I tried to push the circular metal disks (look like dirty polo mints) in, that push the pads but have had no success. Any ideas on the problem and its solution?

you need to use more force.

refit old pads and press with something bigger.

Remove the wheel, fit the pads then see how it goes.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

  • yes ok i will try fitting the old pads and pressing something in between to push those rings back, that may just do the trick!

i find with stuck pistons that it sometimes helps to squeeze the brake lever gently whilst applying the pressure on the caliper pistons with your chosen lever, as you release the lever (which you were only pulling gently dont forget) the pistons will push in as the lever pressure will have released the pistons.
