Preston to York

Im wanting to cycle from Preston to York on Sunday morning. I dont have a Garmin sat nav for my bike so I have to use the old fashion map thingys. I know the route from Preston to Grassington no problem, but from then on it all looks a bit vague and confusing. The easiest way would be the A59 but I want to stay as far away from that as possible.
Does anyone have any ideas/maps of a decent route from Grassington onwards?
Also, what type of terrain is it around Grassington? I know its the Pennines and it will be a bit lumpy, but there isnt any serious serious climbing involved is there?

Think I'd get to Skipton then take the road through Embsay, Bolton Abbey, Nesfield, Ilkley, Askwith, Otley, Wetherby then the B1224 from there to York.
