Still 3rd in the Olympics

Bloody hell after a week we're still 3rd in the olympics medals.... one ahead of Russia :twisted: The suposed stretch target for 2012 was 4th!!!!!!
Few questions... do you reckon we can fend of Russia till the end (would have before BMX crashed out I reckon
)
and two, do you think it would be better if we lost some to encourage extra funding to bring up the level rather than the complacency that will follow if we finish 3rd and everyone gives up... funding dries up (obviously because we are the greatest in the world blah blah blah....)
How about a stretch target for 2012 of beating our former colony (USA) and teaching them a bloody good lesson for once. After all if you take out Phelps, the septic tanks (yanks) are only about 6 golds ahead of GB :P
