Giro helmets and the blue pads...

Got my bike, and finally took all my bits and bobs out of the boxes.

The Giro Monza (probably same as any Giro) comes with instructions, and a bag of blue pads.
The instructions talk about the straps and settings, but make no mention of the blue pads.

Common sense says they are for bunging in for comfort? I don't want to guess where to stick them, and waste them.

What are they for and how have you used them?

I put them in the bin. From what I remember, they're about a centimetre thick, when all the other pads are a couple of millimetres? Basically, they don't fit anywhere assuming the helmet fits your head.

i think they are for you to put where you want/need extra padding, rather than a specific location.

having said that, i put a couple in and they came out about a month later. the glue that holds them in is gash.

Blagged some of these from LBS when the pads in my helmet expired, bit thick but so am I
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Stick 'em to the outside of the helmet as extra padding if you fall off!
