what length seatpost?

Want to get a new seat post but i'm not sure what length i need (ooh er missus).

my current seatpost has about 180mm exposed so would a 300mm long post be enough?

oh it's for a road bike and i weigh about 74kg

Yeh a 300mm should be fine. The seatpost should be at least inserted into the seattube just past the top tube-seattube intersection (if you know what I mean)

Yeah...

Minimum insertion is around 2", therefore 300mm should be good!
