Axle to crown measurements

Looking at a new frame and the geometry is for 80-100mm fork. If I put rigid forks on it with 400mm axle to crown will this affect the handling much or is it a case of buying some P2s or similar?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Sounds a little short. But personal preference is a big player in this, plus existing angles and C2A measurements.
I would say 420 is more the norm,0 -

Good list of axle to crowns there, ~450mm seems to be the norm for 80mm forks. What frame is it? You'll up the head angle a couple of degrees with the 400mm fork.0 -
The forks are a pair of Cannondale Fatty Rigids and the frame will be an On-One Slot Dropout Inbred, though there will be a hell of a clolour clash with the forks blue and the frame red.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
