Stewie....... do you have a beard, carry a rucksack and wear a puffa jacket? if you do I suggest you don't do that in future and stay away from the tube system for good measure.

To cut a long story short, the fellow in the flat below my then gf was doing weights. Someone walking on the road outside (Station Road, Harrow) phoned the Police as they "saw someone waving a rifle around". I went downstairs as they were preparing to run up them and open his door with the big key they use on raids

Chuckcork, Im not being a snob but a Heckler & Koch MP5 is a sub machine gun thankyou 8)

Does anyone remember McVicar? When he got caught I remember (from the film) the Police said something along the lines of "move and I'lll shoot you" and he replied "Well I aint gonna f**king move then am I". Well I really wanted to say "oohh thats cold dont you warm it up first" but I found that I lacked the testicular fortitude at the right moment  .

Hit by a car coming the other way on a country lane. Punctured lung, multiple rib fractures, etc I was knocked out cold and wasn't breathing until my airway was cleared of blood and I was moved into the recovery position. The strange thing was I didn't feel a thing and when I eventually came round I thought that I was sleeping and felt annoyed that someone was trying to wake me up. Then the pain began!
    I have pain!

I was trying out my friend's quadbike. The brakes were in an odd position, and I was going along, when the location of the brake suddenly eluded me and I was careering toward the "ha-ha" which is a sudden drop-off in the land to keep animals away (I was in a farm). I let go of everything and it teased me by carrying me tantalisingly close to the edge before finally stopping; the front wheels were about half-way over! So I almost fell off and would probably have broken my neck or something landing upside down with a heavy quadbike on top of me...

Other than that, I had a crash at about 33mph on my first mountain bike due to speed wobble which was pretty scary (I was inexperienced then, this was about 4 years ago). It was the fastest I had ever been, I know this from looking at my speedometer afterwards.

Probably there are some others but these are the ones that come to mind at the moment.
  • Did the coach tour around Iceland. Stopped to look down a gorge at a river and yet another waterfall. I walked down the slope from the road to get a better look. Turned round to go back up and as I started to walk back up the shingle that made up the edge of the road slipped down with every step. Nothing to grab hold of and a 100 ft drop behind me. It was like walking up hill on ice.
