Brake levers hit frame, normal? Scale 30

After a mysterious chip appearing in the laquer on my scale top tube i've finally discovered that it was done when transporting the bike in the car with the brake lever pressing up against the frame.

I'm now paranoid that if I have a big off the bars are going to spin and potentially cause the frame to get damaged beyond a small paint chip.

The bar's are flat
I have two 10mm spacers under the stem
The levers are set up right for me (both in angle of dangle and reach)
The stem is 6 deg rise 100mm

I've put a protective strip over the top to stop the minor marks, but that's not really going to stop the big impacts.

The options that I can see are:

FIt low risers (never seen a scale with them on)
Adjust the levers to a different position
Don't crash (not easy when you push as hard as I do  )
Forget about it and leave it to fate

it can happen, i would not worry too much but would have a play with the lever position to get them to clear as long as the new position is OK for you.

the other option would be to fit a slight riser stem just to lift them up and clear.

Ok, cheers - i'll have a play tonight. I assume there is a fair amount of 'float' when it comes to lever positions between what is comfortable and what is not.

Failing that I think i'll leave the bar/stem set up as it is - the position of both feels right and I don't suffer with geometry related back ache.

The easiest thing to do, i found (after many chips in my paint) is to simply add another spacer in the headset, it usualy makes a lot of difference and lifts it clear.

the only issue with that is the top stem clamp bolt must not be above the top of the steerer.

so it is not always possible.
