does anyone here use a machine cheaper than the dolce gusto? im still considering an espresso machine tho prefer something under £600

you would be hard pushed to get an espresso machine for under £60 that would be up to the task in the long term. Gaggia do reconditioned machines that are a good bit cheaper than the full price ones:

Thats where i got mine from. I bought a reconditioned evolution (same spec as the classic but without the metal case panels) and its given me no probs at all. Plus you get 6 boxes of their own coffee all for £100. Be aware though that if you go for the Dolce Gusto that it will only take their coffee capsules whereas the likes of the evolution gives you the versitility to use "real" loose coffee or coffee 'teabags' if you want to keep things simple0
