Hi,
Just started road cycling and could do with a little help, firstly what do I need when
I go out? mini pump, spare tube ect plus any recommendations?
Lastly is there anyone in here from Swindon that wouldn't mind going out for a few rides to show me the local routes as i'm not from Swindon.
Thanks
Dave.

multitool

Thanks for the quick reply,
I forgot to ask, what tubes do I need? I've got 700/23 wheels but unsure as to what the 36mm or 60mm is all about.
The bike is a 2008 Trek 1.7 if that helps.
Thanks

you want tubes along the lines of 700cc by 18mm-26mm, look on wiggle.
Basically tubes are stretchy, so they fit a range of tyre sizes, 700cc is the wheel size the number in mm gives the width of the tyre sort of, so buy appropriately. Alternatively, head to your bike shop and send some custom their way to keep them sweet, they'll do you right.0 -
Is this you pump you mean?

If so, is it small enough to take on rides?

I'm just taking up cycling again and work at David Lloyd in Swindon, I'd be happy to go out for a ride or two.
Reply on here if you're up for it an we can trade email addresses or whatever and sort something out.
