I stand by my comment in the other Giant thread that the Trance X4 could be a really hot bike for Giant next year - if it comes in at around £1k as the build kits suggests.

you can stand by your comment all you like. but as i said everything within the trade has had price hike of 10-20% so by going on the "build would suggest" theory works but then add the %. the x5 will come in at 995 and the x4 will be 1350. you will find out when all new bikes and kit hit the market that hike will be true for everything. again the only way a bike will stay the same price for 09 will be if they downgrade it. for example the 09 hardrock is still 299.95 but they have downgraded the chainset.
as for the reign 1 it will be 1950. any questions about prices feel free to email me i have the full price list aswell

Didn't catch you reply to the other thread mate, and didn't notice X5 in your gallery before.

So how does the spec on that compare to the £1k Trance from '08, since they're the same price?

Be interesting to see where they've made the savings to hit that price point.

Yep, thats why I ordered one last night!! Asked for some changes to be done as well.... Few upgrades here and there, shifters, seatpost and stem and a fancy bike 'puter (not GPS) that give altitude etc...
