...does anyone else like to bimble? Riding home I often bimble,(not riding in though, never bimble riding in) looking at the scenery...just relaxing...just being on the bike...just being outside...just bimbling along
...all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...

I suspect that by most people's standards I bimble even when I think I'm going flat out. :oops:0 -
Yep, when I get to Richmond Park, particularly on a Friday evening.FCN 2-4.

It's been harder since The Game made me start, er..., not racing all the time...
However, when I am in camouflage on my cruiser I love to bimble. It's harder on the gollum bike, I feel like more of a competitive soul on that. But the cruiser weighs a metric ton, so I don't feel bad about not not racing
It's nice to ride bikes without the competition from time to time.0 -
...ohy, don't get me wrong, I still like to race...tore three up on the way in this morning  ...but after a busy day at work I sometimes feel the need to bimble......all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...0

...infact it maybe from the calm and stillness of the bimble comes the inner strength for The Game......all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...0

I used to tell my wife I was going for a "bimble" on a 998R Ducati sports motorbike.........note to self, must stay below 150mph.....on this corner......0

I do it but call it "bumbling"
Mostly through the common, if I see any interesting wildlife I have been known to stop and have a look, or get the camera out if I have it with me.0 -
No no no...bumbling is when you risk bumping into things and is generally done around the house in slippers...
Bimbling is most definitely what you are doing on a bike, somewhat simliar to pottling but done with a degree more weaving about as you progress
D'u see?

I've never heard of bimbling before, I'd have to say I don't get much of a chance as i'm usually trying to navigate traffic etc but there have been a few times when I'm riding home from Thames Ditton that I sit up and just soak up the atmosphere :-)
Did it a bit whilst on the Capital to Coast ride but then commuting in the city each day means I don't usually get to see that much country side or so few cars mile after mile :-) It was truly glorious and made the whole ride worth it!0
