Old tyre fitting
I have a 1970s-80s Claud Butler with Michelin tyres marked 32-630, 27x 1 1/4 'World Tour'. I was trying to fit some new Marathon Schwalbes I have to the wheel but they are 37 x 622, 128 x 13/8 - 700 x 35 HS 308.
I haven't a clue what this means, but the Marathons seemed way too small for this wheel. Any idea where I can get some modern, ideally Schwalbe Marathons, that will fit? I will go for 28s or smaller rather than 35s which are probably too fat anyway for this race bike.

Brilliant. Thanks a lot for that. Must be pretty old stock at that price as I paid £20 for my 700 Schwalbe Marathons.
The spokes on this bike - a lovely old woman's racer, c 1980 - are looking tired so I guess finding replacement wheels will be difficult too?0 -
Amongst other places, SJS always have a variety of 27" tyres - www.sjscycles.com.0

27" tyres are still in the latest Schwalbe catalog. I think Continental do them too.
