Hey, I was wondering if there are any members of the deeside thistle cycling club here on the forums?
I am wondering because I have always been interested in joining the club, but finding the time to take part in anything was always an issue for me since Uni and working would take up almost all my time. Anyhoo, uni is starting up again in september and is actually going to be quite quiet for me, so thought I would take advantage and hopefully join the club. I'm just not sure what would be best for me to take part in for when I join so I know what days/evening to keep free. I would email Sandy again and ask for advice, but to be honest I think I have pestered him enough in the past lol. Would any members of the club give me any advice?
I really love cycling. I haven't done any competitive cycling but am willing to try it. I just really enjoy cycling and want to improve overall, hopefully with other people that share the same interest and want to make new cycling friends lol.
Thanks in advance.

Hello RossB. I am a member of DTCC. You have missed the summer activities such as the evening TT league but there are lots of things going on over the whole year. There are circuit trqaining sessions on Wednesday nights from October. Training rides on Saturday and Sunday throughout the year and various other ride such as Centuries etc. TT League is on Tuesday nights from May to August.
You should find a list of them on the DTCC website at www.deeside.org
The club has just signed up with a new sponsor so new kit will be on the way soon. Current "Bikelife" kit is on offer at half price.I have only two things to say to that; Bo***cks0 -

Thanks for the reply.
I am gutted that I missed the summer activities thanks to work lol, but i'm hoping this next year will be a lot better for me.
I always have Sundays free, so taking part in some rides would be great, and i'm sure I am able to keep weds free for some training.
Doing a TT could be fun too, so hopefully I am able to take part next time.
I am just waiting to see what my timetable at uni is going to be like so that I can re-arrange my working hours, then i'll get in contact with Sandy over joining the club.
I'm really excited, and I get on well with everybody else.0
