Why does Chris Hoy not wear one of the standard issue GB helmets, but that rather 'unsexy' black and white one?

    In the team sprint and Keirin he wore one of the "sexy" ones. Maybe the black and white one was his lucky sprinting helmet?

    I had assumed he just wore his black and white one for the final to distinguish him from Kenny (as if the fact that his legs are the size of my torso didn't make him distinctive enough)

    What's a standard issue GB helmet? Do you mean a teardrop one? His b/w one is a Casco Warp, same as VPs. See the other helmet thread.
