Can you recommend holiday insurance?

I'm going to the South west of France on Thursday for a couple of weeks of Surfing and cycling. I will be in the heart of the pyrenees for the last week of the trip so I imagine there will be some dangerous descents making insurance a must.
Can you recommend any reasonably priced insurance companies out there? Preferably ones that will cover theft of mine and my girlfriends bike.
I usually use this site because you get a lot insured for about £8.
http://www.travelplandirectinsurance.co ... pcover.htm
It has this wording:
How much can I claim for personal property?
Up to £1,750†
What about single items?
Up to £250†
What about my valuables?
Up to a total of £250†
But I think this means i could only claim £250 for my bike if I could privide proof of purchase.

You'll struggle to find a travel insurance company that will cover your bikes to their full value (although if anyone knows of one, I'd love to hear about it!). There are companies out there that will insure (general) you bike for around £5 a month but you need full details of when you purchased it etc. It will cover you for taking them abroad.
If you have home contents insurance you may find they are covered through this and then you can just get your regular holiday insurance- Snowcard is good - its easy to find your activities too.

You need to look more closely at what they might not pay out for e.g. the contents of the tent when you are not in it with your possessions
Bike insurance is expensive and usually a couple of cable locks are cheaper than the premiums.
You bikes will only be stolen if:
They are attractive to a thief
There's a thief next to the bikes
The bikes are not locked or the thief has the tools of theft with him/her0 -
Thanks. I will just go for the cheap option from the link that I posted. It seems to be as good as any and it covers valuables up to £250 so my camera would be insured.0
