Don't get excited, we're talking man-boob moobs here. And not much of them either, since you ask.

Just can't help noticing that since my hybrid broke six weeks ago and I have been commuting on an ancient Claud Butler racer with drop handlebars - with very narrow bars, maybe 16ins - I am much firmer in the chest. What little remains - look, I was never really wobbly or anything - will hopefully burn off when my Trek 1.7 arrives.

Is this a medical discovery to pass on?

(Of course, with some of you leg-shaving tannies losing boobs is probably the last thing you are after.)

If you do the upper body exercises like in a spin class...a. You will amuse bus queues. b. You will banish those bingo wings as well :D
  • any good tips for toning moobs?

The bench press and inclined bench press works wonders on the moobs.

These exercises will certainly develop the pectoral muscles but can make them look bigger still if there is still a layer of fat over them!!

IMHO - plenty of CV to 'fat burn' and then once smalle, tone them with light weights and high reps. I always found the pec dec (on a low setting) and cable cross over (again on a low setting) to be good.

If you use too heavy weights then you may end up with huge 'moobs' but they will be really firm and pert!

Don't worry, like all tits, they'll be back in the springtime!

You should try to mix your training and/or sports.

A bit of weight training probably would not go amiss too.

There is no such thing as toning.

You can either lose fat (by running/cycling) or you can build muscle (with resistance training). You can't shape muscle and you can't burn fat from a specific area (known as spot training).

You can do 5000 sit ups a day and you wouldn't lose any belly fat. So just keep riding your bike and watch what you eat. If you want muscle, you have to lift heavy weights.
  • Good work on losing the tits!

Anyone else find themselves having a good old grope of their own while reading this thread!?

I tried but my muscled torso is unyielding and unsatisfying.

What u can build is lean muscle. Both my going out on your bike cv work and u need to use weights. Not heavy ones.Squats and pull downs for your back enough weight so u can just do 20 reps then a 30 sec break then another 20 reps.Deit is a big thing no wine or beer or take aways.
