Morning forum people :) I got a bit of a prob :( I need a wheel magnet to fit my Mavic cross rides that have bladed spokes, but due to the distance between my Rebas and the spokes, the magnet will need to be of a high strength, as the recommended 5mm gap is exceeded  - any ideas :?:

TIA for any replies

There's a bloke selling (sp?)neodium magnets on ebay, tiny little feckers that need glueing (araldite 5min) on. Proper rare earth magnets 3mmx5mm, paint it black you can barely see it. Failing that do as nick says and move the receiver round on the fork till its within range again.

I have attached some pics.... I have placed the receiver in many different positions on the fork leg, you may be able to tell that it makes little difference. The unit is a Sigma BC1606L DTS, though the second bike kit is wired.

As you may be able to see from the pics the gap is approx 15mm without the magnet, the magnet supplied will not fit bladed sokes anyway  The recommended gap in the manual is 5mm. As an alternative, can anyone recommend a computer that will fit better and do the same job as my Sigma :?:

If you slide the detector down to the bottom of the fork, near the hub, the distance will be a lot less. Any chance fitting it on the back would be better. Otherwise just pack out with something between the fork and the detector (something like pritt sticky pads would do).
