Still being a bit new to mtb and with a bit of cash in hand I am a bit confused as to what is a sensible idea to upgrade on my 07 GT Avalanche 3.0 disc. The front fork has already been swapped out for a Marzochhi MX Pro LO due to the original being knackered. Apart from that the bike is completely stock. What would be the next best thing to upgrade with a budget of about £250-300. I've been thinking about a new set of brakes for a while, but again, am unsure as to where to spend the money due to the huge choice out there.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Probably brakes and wheels. Fork was the bit that needed doing first: after brakes and wheels, just upgrade/replace as parts wear out.
Formula Oros are highly regarded on this forum, and for wheels I'd plump for XT hubs on 717 rims, or 719 if a bit heavier.0 -
as above, 719 on xt from merlin, then some formula brakes.0

Or how about some decent riding clothes if you don't have them already? You cant go wrong with a decent waterproof jacket or a pair of shorts. Or how about a hydration pack?
Unless your brakes are rubbish, or your wheels are really heavy, theres no point replacing them.0
