Torque Wrench - What else do I need?
OK decided I need to get myself a torque wrench I overtighened my seatpost clamp I am more worried that I will do more damage than a simple seat clamp if I don't get myself one of these however being completely stupid about all things maintenance (apart from building computers) I am going to ask the stupid persons question.
What do I need to get along with the torque wrench. I am looking at a 3/8" sealey torque wrench as it goes down to 2nm which is hard to find in other wrenches - normally about 5nm minimum.

Don't know how much the Sealey one is, but I bought one of these last year:

As it has all the bits that you'll need as well. Should do everything except BB cups and Ultra Torque bolts.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0 -

Thanks. Does it come with a calibration certificate or have you noticed any probs with it? Does it have a reversible head? Sorry for all the questions but Parkers doesn't give you that much info on it.0 -
I can't remember on the calibration certificate, but I;ve not had any issues with it. It is reversible, but I don't think it's recomended to undo with torque wrenches as it can throw out the accuracy (I could be wrong on that tho).Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

It's a 1/4" drive, but as all the common size bits are included it wasn't an issue.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0 -
Thanks Slow Downcp0

You'll need some hex-bit sockets. Have a look at Sealey AK6201 or AK621 - either would be absolutely fine. I use the ball head ones because they're more convenient, and more than enough for bike torque-levels. If you're doing more serious cranking, or you know you can get good access to all your bolts, get the standard hex bits because they have a larger contact area between bit and bolt.
